1. Bond application
  2. Appointment of Bond attorney - who will request FICA documents, confirm details of transaction and enquire the name of the Transferring Attorneys.
  3. Drafting bond documents
  4. Signing of bond documents
  5. Document verification by Bank - authorisation to lodge documents in the Deeds Office for registration. This takes approximately 5 working days.
  6. Bond registration - the bond documents are lodged simultaneously with those of the Transferring Attorneys and the Bond Cancellation Attorneys. The Bond is then registered and scanned by the Deeds Offcie who also informs the local authority of the change of ownership. The Deeds Office delivers the registered deeds to the transferring attorneys who in turn forward it to the Purchaser's bank for safekeeping.
